| Spencer and his team stood with SG-3 and SG-5 as Kate dialed the last glyph for Earth, the gate opened, and Spencer raised his radio. "SGC? This is Lt. Colonel Sean Spencer, do you read?" Spencer said, keeping his eye on the Stargate. "Colonel? Where the hell have you and your team been?" Landry's voice called over the radio. "It's a long story sir, but we need to act quickly, you need to bring the Odyssey's ZPM to Earth and dial the address we're about to transmit to you, we need teams, weapons, and food," Bailey said, watching Spencer write down the address he had dialed on the DHD on Eshtiss. "Alright, send it through," Landry replied after a few minutes of thought. "Yes sir," Bailey replied, using his tablet computer to draw out the address from the note Spencer gave him, and sending the image through the gate and to the SGC. After a few seconds, they recieved confrimation that the message had gotten through. "Now I'm about to breif you sir, we have less than thirty eight minutes until the gate shuts down, so I'll need to be brief," Bailey said, having a seat by one of the terminals.

A week had passed since the three teams had contacted Earth, and now the population of the city had grown from just SG-1, 3, and 5, but them, SG-2, 4, 11, 17, 20, 24, several scientists, doctors, marines from around the world and the SGC, even Atlantis itself, and several others to man other parts of the city, totaling up to just under 320 people. Spencer was walking down the hall to the gate room, moving past several people, still setting up from when they arrived. He made his way up the large staircase in front of the gate, through the Control Room, on a suspended walkway, seperating a small room from the Control Room, and to now what was the Leader of the facility's office. "Colonel Bailey," Spencer said, saluting. "At ease Spence," he said, getting up from his chair, "don't get all tense around me just because I'm the Aurora Expedition's leader, well, temporary leader." Spencer dropped his salute, "I was actually coming up here to congratulate you on that, I just heard about it." "Well they just told me this morning," Bailey said, rubbing his hands together. "Personally, I prefer leading just SG-3, but I suppose they can't risk the Expedition leader dieing on the job." "Temporary, leader." "Shut up. So, what's the word on all our little expeiriments?" "Well, the group of scientists from Earth were able to figure out our Standard Time Schedule, we've managed to set up a Mess Hall, aromory, and showering and restroom areas. I think we're in the clear on the Phantoms coming here and fighting us, we just got the sensors up, and they don't read anything for a very long way," Spencer said, looking down at a clipboard. "Sorry, Phantoms?" Bailey asked. "It's the word we came up with, instead of the Anti Ancients, we sent a memo," Spencer said, still looking down the clipboard. "Here it is," Bailey said, pulling a paper airplane from a small waste basket by his desk. "Sorry, I was kinda bored." "We also found the name of the city." "Yeah?" "Yep, the Ancients called this city, Ortus Mallum. It's actually Ancient for birth place of all evil, that's what Dr. Rite says." "That's kinda creepy, (SPOILERS OF ARK OF TRUTH) isn't that the name of the mountain in the Ori Galaxy where the Alterans launched from? (SPOILERS OF ARK OF TRUTH)," Bailey said, flattening out the paper airplane. "Yes, they must've thought of this part of their time as a dark part of their history, it would make sense, considering this was the HUB of the galaxy where they built weapons of intergalactic, mass destruction, but sir, I also came to ask if we've been clear to begin offworld travel as well," Spencer casually said, looking up from the clipboard. "Have we found anything in the database about the weapon?" Bailey asked, sitting back down at his desk. "No, but we're only a small way through it, it's massive," Spencer said, taking a seat on one of the small, white cushioned chairs at the side of the room. "Then yes. The SGC said to start sending offworld teams in the event we can't find anything on the weapon in the database." "Alright, I'll call all the personel over the intercom and get them to the gate room." "Right thanks." Several hours had passed as Spencer and Kate had finally managed to assemble all offworld teams in the gate room, they would get the other scientists and doctors later. "Alright, if I could get everyone's attention please!" Spencer called from in front of the Stargate and several large crates. The shield on the gate was raised, so an incoming wormhole wouldn't destroy all the boxes he had placed around the gate. "Okay then, let's begin. You've all been called here so you can see the equipment you're going to be working with, and so on, so, let's start with the uniform." Spencer pulled out a black jacket with one, slanted blue stripe across each side of the chest and one on each wrist. "This is just like the Atlantis Expedition's current uniform, eache jacket will be a basic black with these stripes. This jacket's stripes are blue, which means that it is for a scientist. The other jackets have different colors, indicating rank. Blue means scientist, yellow means doctor, red means command, like Colonel Bailey, a completely black jacket with the hemming means a field operative, like myself, or Captain Flag here. Green means a Stargate or Ancient technician, alongside the scientists, and orange means civilian visitor, or a member of the IOA, or even a political visitor." Spencer put the jacket down and pulled out a small box. "These, are the patches you'll be using," Spencer called over the gate room and to the large groups of marines, scientists, and doctors. "These two patches will be worn on the left shoulder of each military based personel," Spencer said, holding up a small patch.
"This one," he called again, "will be worn by all personel on the base no matter what." Spencer put down the two patches. "These other two patches will be worn on the right sholder," Spencer said, picking up another small box. "The first is just for SG teams, it will be the basic patch used at the SGC. This will be the one worn by SG-1 and myself," "This will be the second patch to be worn on the right shoulder by everyone,"
"And the standard patches used in the 302, 304, and the 305 program, which is in the works right now, will be worn below the SGC patch on your right shoulder." Spencer leaned into another box and pulled out several fire arms, placing them gently on the ground, one by one. "The first weapon you'll get for standard off world travel is a P90, which will be used only my people who have been cleared for it. We'll be using a generic version without these add ons, just until we get more from Earth," Spencer called over the large room, holding up the upgraded P90.
"It has a automatic and single shot option on each standard P90. We have silencers and other add ons for it as well." Spencer picked up another gun from the floor, "this, is a SPAS-12. It's an auto shotgun used in very heavy duty combat," he said, holding up the gun. Spencer put the gun down and picked up the last one he had placed on the floor, "this is an M9 side arm," he said, holding it up by the barrel, "civilians will use only this gun, where as marines will use both P90 and this M9."
"Next, is another auto shotgun," Spencer said holding up the next gun, watching several faces watching him now, "it is a newer of the models, and it has an option that can be accessed by using a certain bullet, it launches a large net." _________________

| Spencer put down the last gun on the ground, "this is a new assualt rifle, the AS-42, it has an area for a scope and a top flashlight. It has, like the P90, an automatic, and single shot options," he held up the gun.
"Okay, that's it so far, but that's all the guns we've recieved from the SGC that is, so, we'll need to get these into the armory and set them all up for imediate deployment," Spencer said. The large group of peopl started to dispand from the room, "Once all of that's done, SG-1 and 3 will suit up for our mission at 1300 hours!" Spencer called over the group before helping the other marines take the boxes where they needed to go.
Spencer and a gate technician were looking over the addresses in the database as Colonel Bailey walked in. "What've we got to go for?" he asked as Dr. Rite walke up the smaller staircase on the side of the control room. "There's over 3000 stargate addresses, it's a huge galaxy, from what we've been able to get from the database, this," Spencer said, pointing to a large terminal with a Star Map on it, "this planet is an Ancient warfare lab, we might find something on the weapon there." "I don't know, the last Ancient lab we found didn't make for the best mission ever," Rite said. "There's a chance there's nothing on the weapon there anyway," Bailey said, "but we still need to try." "Right, I'll get the rest of SG-1 to the gate room, they should be suited up by now," Spencer said. After a few minutes of tracking down the rest of SG-1 and SG-3, the two teams gathered into the gate room. "Major Kurth," Spencer said, walking up to the new leader of SG-3, "nice to finally meet you in person." "You too sir," the nervous Major replied, "so, what's the word on this planet?" "Well, the Ancients spread life to all the Stargate inhabited planets out there, but as for how it develoeped is a mystery, so we may or may not encounter life. But other than that, it's an Ancient warfare lab, built to take down Sven and his army." After a few seconds of Breaux, James, Raichell, Rite, Spencer, Kurth, and SG-3 talking about some strategies, loud vacuum sounding noises came from the gate, after seven of those noises, the kawoosh, or burst of unstable energy burst from the gate, flattening back into the wavy, humming eventhorizon. Three gate technicians readied a MALP to be sent through the puddle. A few seconds after the MALP was sent, the two teams were given permission to embark. "MALP telemetry confirmed enviorment within Terra perameters," Chris Morris, the new gate technician from the SGC said from the Control Room. "SG-1 and 3, you're good to go, good luck," Bailey said from the small balcony overlooking the Gate Room from the Control Room. Spencer nodded and signaled the two teams to go through. Spencer took a deep breath, and walked into the puddle.
Spencer burst out of the gate on the other side to be greeted by an open field.
The two teams looked around the field for the complex. "Found the DHD," Breaux yelled from on top of a hill. "Alright, SG-3, you stick here and we'll go check this lab out," Spencer called over the field. "Wouldn't it be a better idea to stick together for this mission? We don't know what's out there," Kurth said, standing by the gate. "If there is, something big and terrible out there, we'll need someone to stay by the gate so we can contact Ortus Mallum if we're killed," Spencer replied. "That's pretty intense sir," Kurth called to the Colonel, who had already started to make his way off to a distant hill with his team. "Okay boys and girls, where do you think the complex is?" Spencer asked the four others of his team walking beside him. Breaux pulled up a life signs detector he had gotten from one of the Mallum Base's rooms. "I'm not reading any power sources or anything near by," he said, putting the detector back in his vest pocket. The team began to walk up a large hill stopping at the very top. "Well, it's not the complex," James said, as the team overlooked a very large town, "looks like one of those towns you see in those old timey cowboy movies." "Yeah, let's see if we can't find the sheriff," Spencer said. The team began to hike down the hill and into the grassy, western style village. As they walked through, several people began to stare at them, stopping what they were doing. "Sir, maybe we should leave," Raichell said, looking around at the people. "Hang on Fisher. Uh... hello," Spencer said to the staring faces of the curious, maybe even frightened towns folk, "I'm Lt. Colonel Sean Spencer, do any of you know where I can find the leader of this town?" The people continued to stare. One of them began to approach Spencer, a short woman, "I will take you to our head councilmen," she said nervously. "Well, thank you," Spencer said, "come on," He whispered to his team, beginning to follow the short woman. As SG-1 and the short woman walked down the grassy street in between the wooden buildings, people began to start to move around again. The group met up with the largest building in the center of the village. "This is it," the woman said, "if you go in, you should request Linch, Tray Linch." "Okay, thank you," Spencer said, "What do you all think?" "I think he's got a weird name," Breaux said. "Yeah, but besides that, what do you guys think about going in?" Spencer asked. "I think we might be able to find out where the complex is from whoever this, Linch, is," James said. "Alright, let's go in then," Spencer said. The team stood there for a few seconds, and then made their way into the building. When the polished wooden doors to the building opened, the team entered a large, Lantean design room full of Terminals, both on the wall and like desks type. Several terminals were gathered together, the crystal panels pulled out of the sockets, to make a large desk, in which a skinny man sat behind. "Uh... we're here to see, Tray... Linch?" Rite questioned himself, unsure if that was the correct thing to say. "And who are you?" the skinny man asked. "Um... we're, travelers... sight seers infact, we came to see an old complex that was supposedly built many years ago," Spencer said, stepping up to the edge of the Terminal desk, "we came to meet Mr. Linch because we were told he was the one who knew almost everything about this town." The skinny man looked over the five armed visitors, "you may see him if you leave your weapons," he said to them in a snobbish tone. Spencer looked down at his P90, not wanting to cause a ruckus, he handed his weapon to a man in uniform who had come to take them. The guard gestured for Spencer's team to do the same, and Spencer nodded, to tell them it was okay. Spencer walked back up to the desk, "now, may we see councilmen Linch?" he asked, in a kind of annoyed tone. "Yes sir, I shall take you to him now," the skinny man said, much more polite and surprisingly, with a smile. "Thank you," Spencer said, leading his team after the skinny little man. The six of them all crammed into a very small teleporter, yet it was a bit larger than the Atlantis and Ortus Mallum's ones. The man pressed one little button on the screen of the teleporter, and the doors opened to a large, marble room with a long desk, lined with polished wooden chairs in it. Spencer stepped out, grateful to be out of the cramped transporter, and looked around the massive room. _________________

| "Councilmen Tray Linch!" the skinny man called across the large room, "I bring five visitors from afar, they wish to meet with you!" Spencer saw a small chair, very far away, given the length of the table. A hand rose from the chair, waving them over. "The councilmen will see you now," the little man said, gesturing to the chair as he walked back into the teleporter. After a moment of hesitation, Spencer, followed by his team, slowly walked the long way to the other end of the table. James was the first to reach the chair, he looked down at the person sitting in it, to see a tall, well dressed man. The man looked at the five new arrivals and smiled, rising up from his chair. "Hello, I'm Tray Linch, head councilmen of Cortos," the man said in a cheery voice. "It's like a rollercoaster ride of emotion in here," Spencer whispered to Raichell. "Hello, my name's Sean Spencer, I'm a Lt. Colonel for the United States Air Force," Spencer responded. Tray gestured for them to all have a seat, after a few minutes of talking back and forth, the team told their story of how they discovered this galaxy and were here to stop a great evil. "We initially came here looking for a laboratory of the Ancients, the people I told you about earlier," Spencer said. "Oh! The Ancients, do you mean the forerunners?" Tray asked. "Forerunners basically means people that came before," Rite whispered to a confused Spencer. "Uh... yes, the Forerunners, we came here looking for a laboratory created by the Forerunners to help us destroy the evil we followed here," Spencer said, catching on to the Aurora Galaxy lingo. "Well, I believe you're inside it now," Tray said, a cast of happiness that creeped Spencer out a bit. "I thought we might be," Breaux said, "the transporters, terminals, and architecture, but the Ancie... Forerunners built their complexes with, pardon me but, a bit more, sturdy material." "Well, when we found this, laboratory, it was run down and very unstable," Tray said, scratching his head. How did this guy get to be head councilmen? Spencer thought to himself. "When we came here, we fixed it up with all our materials, and made it our main council chambers," Tray continued. "Well, did you happen to find any crystals or weapons lying around?" Spencer asked, trying to keep casual, as casual as weapons of intergalactic mass destruction and warfare go. "Afraid not. There were slots in the Terminals we found here, but they were empty," Tray replied. "The Ancients must've taken them with them when they left here, for whatever reason," Raichell said. "Well, since there are no weapons here, I think we should move on to the next reason why we're here, your people are in danger," Spencer said, leaning over the table. "The great evil we explained to you, there's a good chance they will come here, through that ring in the field a few miles away." "Oh, you mean the Stargate?" Tray asked. The team looked rather surprised, not a lot of races knew the real name of the gate, it was either Chapa'Ai, or the Ring of the Ancsestors, the Ancients must've left behind enough so the people of this galaxy would have some knowledge of the gate system to learn from. "Do you know how it works?" Rite asked. "You press six buttons on the pedistol beside it, then the last one, press the bulb, it shoots out a big, blue wave, then turns into a wall of water, you go through, and it sends you to another planet," Tray said. "It looks like they only have a basic understanding of the gate system sir, but this may help them," Rite whispered to Spencer again. The group talked much more about the Stargate and how it worked, wanting to help the Cortosans as much as they could, should Sven ever rear his ugly head. SG-1 and Linch walked out of the large complex and up to the hill where the team had first seen the village. the people they walked by seemed to be much more livelier, I guess they're a pretty shye people. Suddenly Spencer's radio started to click twice. Spencer pulled it off of his vest and responded with two more clicks, "what is it Kurth?" "Sir," Kurth yelled over the radio, "the Stargate just activated, three puddle jumpers just flew through, they're not ours." "Crap, uh Tray, we've got a massive problem," Spencer, Tray, and the rest of SG-1 started to run for the council house, telling people to get inside and stay away from the windows. Spencer explained that this must've been Sven or one of his disciples, "it'd probably be best if they didn't see us, and we can't make it to the gate, the field is too open." "Here, you can hide in the council chambers, under the table, it's that big for a reason," Tray said, panting as he, SG-1, and the tiny little man squeezed into the transporter and to the council room. SG-1 asserted their proffessional covert skills by hiding under a big table. Tray and the little man sat at the desk and pretended to talk. "Tray, what about the other council people?" Spencer asked. "As I told you before, we know how to operate the gate system, they're out on other planets for negotiations and trading, but they won't be back for almost a week," Tray whispered, keeping his eyes on the little man, still pretending to talk back and forth. After a few seconds, the two bulkhead doors opened on the transporter and two men with black cloaks on emerged from it. Spencer couldn't see the faces of the men, their mouths were covered by a cloth extension on the cloak, and their eyes, barely visible through the hood's shadow. Tray stood up and greeted them with his cheery voice. One of the cloaked men lifted a hand, covered by a black, leather glove. "Are you the leader of this planet?" the familiar voice dmanded. "Uh... yes," Tray lied. "Sit down, we need to discuss things," the cloaked man demanded again, pulling his hood down. "Lash," Spencer whispered. Four sets of hands covered his mouth the second one word came out. The two cloaked men sat down with Tray and a very nervous skinny man, they began to ask about the complex, Tray lied like a proffesional, saying that they had found all the terminals in the northern mountains. Lash contacted the other three Jumpers through a small, blue, wrist watch type communicator, telling the other twelve Phantoms outside to ready two Jumpers for transport to the Northern Mountains. Lash left the room, leaving the other Phantom to guard the little man and Tray. As Lash left, Spencer noticed that Tray and the little man were just rambling on, distracting the Phantom in fact. Spencer slowly pulled up his right pant leg, pulling out a knife, always remembering the words from one of the mission reports from one, Colonel John Sheppard, "One for them to take, one for you to keep." Spencer slowly and silently got up from under the table with the knife behind the distracted Phantom. He began to walk closer, knowing that if he screwed this up, he and his team would all die. He flipped his knife to under hand and was inches away from the cloaked man.
"How many hours is that?" Bailey asked nervously, pacing the Control Room. "Only seven sir, they're almost at their check in time, why so nervous?" the gate technician asked. "We're in a new, unknown galaxy, I can't help it." "In my opinion sir, Spencer may not have much experience in offworld missions, but I think he's capable." "I don't doubt him, but Sven is a dangerously insane human being, we're at risk every second." Holding a blood covered knife, Spencer stood over a limp, cloaked body. "Are you two alright?" James asked as the rest of the team crawled out from under the table. "Yes, thank you," Tray said, looking down at the body, "personally, I didn't feel all that safe relying on the skills of you and your team, but I suppose I was mistaken." "Good to hear we're making a dent somewhere, now, I think there's still a few Phantoms outside, we'll have to deal with them, and the ones in the mountains, including Lash," Spencer said. Spencer wheeled around on his heeles and walked to the transporter doors. "Tray, uh... secretary man, you two stay in here, you'll be safe," Spencer said, handing Tray his M9 side arm and showing him how to use it. "Everyone else, you're with me." SG-1 crammed into the transporter once more, as the bulkhead doors closed on them.
Bailey walked across the walkway inbetween his office and the control room to a gate technician, manning the DHD. "Have Colonel Spencer and his team checked in yet?" Bailey asked as he read over a clip board. "No sir, they're five hours over due," the gate technician said, looking up from the computer he was setting the dailing monitor on to. "Dial P5G-904 and see if you get in contact with them," Colonel Bailey said, walking toward the balcony overlooking the Stargate. The gate technician began to dial in the address, as Bailey watched the glyphs spin on the gate, he turned on his radio headset. "SG-1, this is Ortus Mallum, please respond... SG-1, this is Ortus, Mallum, please respond," Bailey said twice in his headset. "Sir, this is Major Kurth of SG-3, SG-1 is unavailable, we've been ambushed by Phantoms and Jumpers, we're going to assist them now," Kurth panted over the radio. "We'll send reinforcements now," Bailey said, walking back from the balcony. _________________

| "No sir, we don't want them to know we're here, we need to keep quiet, in fact, requesting radio silence," Kurth concluded. "Got it, we'll check in in three more hours, and Kurth," "Yes sir?" "Watch SG-1 and 3's 6," "Yes sir, Major Kurth out." Bailey heard the click of the radio and told the technician to close the Stargate, Bailey hated not knowing what was happening to his team, even though he would only be gone from them for about a week. As SG-1 stealthily made their way out of the Council building, they saw a Puddle Jumper, landed in the middle of the grassy road straight ahead of them. They ran for cover as three Phantoms came around the corner, holding what looked like a black version of the side arm, used by the Pegasus Galaxy Replicators. Spencer eyed the Jumper and devised a plan. "We'll need a distraction," Spencer said, putting his knife away and lifting the P90 he had taken back from the guards. "Just shooting isn't gonna help this time, we need a strategy." "I think I have one," Rite said, getting to his feet and looping around another building. "Rite, Rite!" Spencer half whispered, half yelled after the archaeologist. Spencer sighed and waited to see what sophisticated plan the Rite would come up with, he thought it'd be well executed and full of skill, up until he saw the doctor, running, flailing his arms, and yelling as loud as he could out of the alley he had gone around and into. The three Phantoms came after him, shooting their side arms. "Crazy guy," Spencer mumbled as he led the rest of the team into the Jumper. Spencer walked up to the dashboard of the Jumper. "Sir we can't fly this," Raichell said, "I'm positive that it uses the GENE system, it's the system that's used to only let ATA gene holders activate the technology. Spencer walked slowly closer to the dashboard and placed his palm on it. The Jumper lit up and controls activated. "Gene therapy sir?" James asked. "No, just really lucky I guess," Spencer said, sitting down in the flight seat. "Sir, are you sure you should be flying this?" Breaux asked nervously. "You fly it with your mind, how hard could that be?" Spencer asked, grabbing onto the controls of the dashboard. The Jumper lifted and dropped from three feet in the air. "You should probably close the back hatch sir," Raichell said, grabbing Spencer's shoulder. Spencer sighed and closed the hatch, feeling a bit embarrassed, but more excited about flying an alien space ship. The Jumper lifted off the ground and started to fly off to the Northern Mountains. Meanwhile, as Rite ran from the Phantoms, headed to the gate, he tripped and fell to the ground. The three Phantoms stood over Rite, laughing. As the three cloaked men lifted their side arms, they each fell after several loud cracks. Rite got up and looked at the bleeding and dead bodies of the three men and turned around to see SG-3 running in about 10 yards away. Rite got up and punched the air, "nice shot Major!" Spencer flew the Jumper over the mountains, scanning it with the HUD, covering the screen, a yellow light flew past them, "drone," Breaux said. Spencer closed the HUD and began maneuvers, dodging three more drones. James looked down and saw two Jumpers and several cloaked figures. "Crap, we need to take them out now," Spencer said, gliding the Jumper to the left, dodging more drones. The HUD popped up on the wind shield again, revealing a mesh of a large ship. "Sir, we've got bigger problems," Raichell said grimly. "Don't tell me," Spencer replied. "Yes sir, there's an Ancient warship in Geosynclines orbit above the planet, possibly Aurora class," Raichell said, looking over the HUD. "Okay, I got a plan," Spencer said as he pointed the Jumper into a nose dive to the ground. After talking very fast, given that they didn't have much time, the team departed from the now cloaked Jumper. As the rest of SG-1 creeped through the vegetation on the mountain, Spencer found a Phantom, as it turned around, he lifted his P90, and killed it.
Raichell and James did the same until they all found Lash. "I got a cloak, did you guys?" Spencer asked in a whisper. "I got one," Raichell said. "Me too," James said. "I haven't gotten one yet," Breaux said, creeping up behind them. "Okay, let's see what we can do about Lash," Spencer whispered, looking at Lash from a thicket. Before the Phantoms knew what happened, Spencer and the team burst from the bushes, surrounding the Phantom group, and blew them away, all except for Lash. As the P90 fire hit Lash, a blue personal shield pulsed around him. "Oh, crap," Spencer said as Lash pressed a button on his wrist communicator, sending a massive blue wave of energy at them, blowing them off their feet. The team quickly got back onto their feet and ran for cover as Lash sent another burst of energy from his shield. The team looked for a knife of any kind on them. Raichell, Breaux, and Spencer had one, James had lost his in the thicket. They all unsheathed their knives and ran at Lash to be blown back off their feet, yet they made sure their knives all landed by Raichell. The Major rose up quickly off the ground, a knife in between each finger, and threw them, one by one, into Lash's torso before he could launch another wave. He fell to the ground and went limp like his accomplice in the council chambers. The team picked up the cloaks and put them on as they ran into the cloaked Jumper, and readied to launch. Spencer covered his mouth with the cloth and put the hood over his head, the other three did the same. "Now, let's get that ship." Rite and SG-3 walked down the town and into the council building, again, cramming into the small transporter to meet up with Tray and the little man. SG-3, Rite, Tray, and the skinny man all came out of the building, guarding the councilmen as Rite told him what happened. Kurth lifted up his radio and spoke, "Colonel Spencer, do you read?" "Major, yes, I read you." "Where are you?" "Well, I don't think you'd believe me," Spencer said from inside the Jumper, now slowly flying towards the Aurora class ship. Spencer put the radio down after requesting radio silence and contacted the ship. "I have three wounded, I need passage to the ship bay," Spencer said, in a demanding voice, much like Lash's. After a long pause, a picture of a man Spencer, nor the team had never seen before, opened on the HUD. "Granted, but remember, it will take awhile to heal the wounded, we're short a full compliment of crew," the man said. As Spencer passed through the shield, he locked onto the bridge of the ship and pulled off his hood, "Aw, that's a shame," he said sarcastically as he launched two sets of three drones at the bridge and other vital systems of the ship. It began to start to break apart, then large explosions burst from it, Spencer back tracked the Jumper and flew as fast as he could to get away from the explosion. After a few seconds of flying back down to the surface, Spencer landed the Jumper in front of the town, opening the hatch, and letting his team out. Rite and SG-3 ran over to meet them with about half the population of the town as people cheered. "Nice flying sir," James said, slapping Spencer on the back. The group looked up at the sky and saw a large ball of fire. "What's that?" Rite asked. "Well, it used to be the first Aurora class ship of Sven's army," Spencer said, looking up at his work.
"So it all worked out in the end huh?" Bailey asked as he and Spencer walked down the hall to the gate room. "Yep, not only did the Cortosans agree to open trade relations with us and their other friends, they let us have the three Jumpers the Phantoms left behind," Spencer listed. "You even destroyed one of the first Aurora class Warships the Phantoms were building." "Yes, but there is a down side," Spencer said, stopping in front of the gate. "What's that Spence?" Bailey asked, already at the large staircase. "Not only did we not find anything about the weapon, but now they know what we have, what we're capable of, I don't think the same tactics will work twice, things are gonna get much more difficult from here on in," Spencer said, looking up at Bailey. "Count your blessings Spence, count your blessings," Bailey said, walking the rest of the way up the staircase and into his office. ---------------------------------------- Writing: Cameron Mitchell Brainstorm: Cameron Mitchell and Prometheus Artwork, Landscape, and Photography: Stargate Worlds, the scifi world, and public sites
