| "Get down!" yelled Spencer, jumping with Rite, James, and Breaux through the cracked bulk head, just as four flash bangs went off in front of Sven and the mysterious figure. SG-1 grouped with the two marines, Raichell, and the remainder of SG's 5 and 3, following Spencer and his team. The entire convoy burst from the bulkhead, lights on their P90's gleamed across the long walkway in the gate room. The teams rushed the disoriented Sven and the new arrival, pinning them to the ground, 4+ fire arms aimed at each of the Ancients heads. "So, Sven," Spencer said, looking down at the pinned Ancient, P90 aimed at his heart, "who are you really?" "You would never be able to grasp the complexity of who I am," Sven spat at Spencer. "Snippy," Spencer replied, "who's your friend?" The other Ancient, dressed in a white robe like Sven, looked at Spencer, and opened his mouth. "I am Lash, of the rebel Ancients," he said, in a deep, coarse voice that filled the room. "You guys have some intense names," Spencer said, looking down at Lash. "If you think this is a victory Sean Spencer, then you're dead wrong," Sven said to Spencer, "we are more powerful than you can even imagine!" "Well, no offense, but it looks like we've got the upper hand, and I seriously doubt you're more powerful, given your current situation," Spencer said mockingly. Sven spat at one of the marines holding him down. Spencer swung his P90 to point straight at Sven's left temple, "now who the hell are you!" "And please don't say you're Ancients, some of us have been lucky enough to meet them, and we know they would never harm their descendants," Raichell said to Lash and Sven. Sven sighed, "as we stated before, we are rebel Ancients, we stand for everything the ascended Ancients oppose, and vise versa," Sven took a good look at Spencer after he finished speaking. "This warfare facility, it wasn't made for fighting the Wraith or Ori, you made it to fight the other Ancients," Spencer said lightly. "But you didn't count on the ascended ones fighting back," Breaux added. "What really happened between you and the Ancients?" Spencer asked. Sven thought hard about whether to even bother telling him. "When, when I was on Atlantis, I started to see the Alterans, or Ancients as you call them, for who they really were, deluded beings who could not see their full potential. I grew violent towards them, I even killed three of them at the age of 14 of your years, and was sent to Earth for execution; they thought I was too dangerous to keep alive. When I arrived on Earth via Stargate, I escaped my escorts and managed to get through the Stargate and found a abandoned world. "Here?" "Yes, I began construction on my weapons with the help of several ascended Ancients that agreed with my cause. We were able to kill hundreds of Ancients with the weapons we made," a glitter of glee went through Sven's eyes, Spencer was shocked, "the Ancients, they fled yet again, leaving this galaxy for another, they called it, well, in your language, the Aurora Galaxy. They set up several civilizations there, safe from the legion I lead, slowly destroying them. I lead them to believe I was killed, and my armies disbanded, to lure them back into this galaxy, for you see, I did not know where the Aurora Galaxy was located at the time. They abandoned everything, leaving that entire galaxy and the seeds of life they had placed there, and headed back here. When they arrived, I slaughtered them. Many ascended, but most were killed in the war." "Why wouldn't the Ancients mention this in a database or something?" James asked, holding Lash down right by Sven. "That's when this story gets good, they managed to stop me, they actually extracted the information that I knew about the Stargate system from my mind, including the addresses to and in the Aurora Galaxy and froze me here. When the Jaffa arrived, it activated several key systems, including the release of my suspended animation. I murdered the Jaffa intruders, and quickly headed back to the stasis chamber, setting the power source to maximum, as to lure you to me. I tricked you into believing my story, and observed you until we reached the armory, where you were useless to me. I then headed to the Stargate, and extracted the addresses last dialed to the Aurora Galaxy from this gate, and here we are," Sven concluded. "But what does it matter to you now?" Spencer questioned the two Ancients, keeping his P90 at Sven's head. "I grew to loathe the Ancients who incarcerated me for all those years, and now you, you humans are a constant reminder of how I failed to destroy them all. My mission now is to kill you Sean Spencer, all of you, the monuments of the Ancients," Sven spat at all the team members around the dark room, "and now I have a way to destroy you all at once." "What are you talking about?" Spencer questioned Sven. "He's talking about a weapon that can wipe out a planet of life forms, in one blast," Lash said to Spencer, "It's much like the planet you once called Dekara, but far more advanced, the weapon is hidden in the Aurora Galaxy. I came back with information that the ship, the Aurora, which was headed back to Atlantis was destroyed. It had the specs of the weapon and they knew how to calibrate it to only destroy the Wraith, so now we need to find the prototype weapon hidden in the Aurora Galaxy. The goal is to wipe you all out, and recreate this universe in our own image!" Lash yelled, "we are two of many Sean Spencer! You and your people will see death soon!" Spencer lifted his P90 at Lash as the marines holding him stepped back and did the same. Spencer, the marines, and James all unloaded an entire clip into Lash. The bloody, mangled Ancient burst into mist again and flew through the ceiling. Sven began to laugh and did the same. The facility started to hum and lights blasted on all around the base, the gate room grew as bright as day. Spencer was able to see a window far above the open door that lead to the hallway exit now that it wasn't pitch black, he saw the mist flying inside it. "We need to get up there now!" Spencer yelled to the teams, "you guys distract them!" The teams shot out the window to the Ancient control room, to have two bursts of mist fly out and attack. James pulled his Zat and opened fire on one, it seemed to slow down after each shot. Noticing this advantage, Rite pulled out the Wraith Stunner from before and began to open fire. Spencer ran with Bailey to the control room. As they entered it, they saw, what Spencer guessed to be, a back-up DHD, half dialed with four glyphs locked. Another lit up, and so did the fifth chevron on the Stargate. Spencer turned to a monitor in the room to see a massive amount of Ancient writing. "Spence, it's saying something about dialing out to a planet in the Aurora Galaxy. It's the main colony, I think, my Ancient's a little rusty," Bailey yelled to Spencer over the loud gun fire and howling of the misty creatures. Spencer saw a list of symbols similar to those being dialed. "What are those?" Spencer asked, pointing to the list. "If I'm reading it right, it's a list of all possible addresses from chevron five on the DHD." "So it just tells you what you can dial from each glyph? That would've been useful on Earth" "Either way, we need to stop them." As the address grew more accurate and the terminal tracked down the planet, the next closest address highlighted and launched a new list, chevron six locked. Spencer looked at the list and saw there were only five possible addresses left until it hit a possible seven glyph address, and it's point of origin. Spencer saw the correct address start to highlight and ran to the DHD across the room. Spencer slapped one of the glyph buttons, completing one of the other possible addresses and the Stargate opened. Most likely thinking that the address had locked onto Aurora's main outpost, the two black mist beings flew through the gate. More black misty beings formed around the room, and ran through the gate. The teams on the ground took cover, and Spencer and Bailey did the same, as not to be seen by the Anti Ancients. The gate closed and Bailey ran to the shattered area where the window used to be, he called out about what they had found out, and how they had sent the Anti Ancients to the wrong world. Spencer began dialing the DHD. "That's not Earth's address Spence," Bailey said. "No it isn't." "Why are you dialing Aurora's main outpost?" "They wanted to go there for a reason, they probably thought they'd find the location of the weapon there, either way, we need to keep them away from that weapon at all costs, besides, it won't take them long before they realize that they're on the wrong planet." The wormhole opened, and Bailey and Spencer ran down to meet the rest of the teams. As they ran for the open gate, Spencer told them them plan, finishing right before they hit the event horizon. _________________

| They burst out of the gate, after about 3.2 seconds. The team took a look around the gate room they had just dialed into. "Sir, it's... it's Atlantis's gate room," James said to Spencer. "It's exactly like it," Raichell added. Spencer walked up the steps and out a sliding one door bulkhead on the left of a series of windows. He came out to see a bright sun with two piers, branching off of the main base that housed the main tower. "The Ancients must've been kinda home sick," Spencer said to Bailey who had just come out of the bulk head on the right of the window structure. "Yeah, it's still got a beautiful site from the balcony too," Bailey said in a dream dazed tone. "You used to serve on Atlantis didn't you? That was the classified position you couldn't tell me about, when I was still in the National Guard five years ago, right?" Spencer asked, still looking out over the massive city. "Yes, we've been friends for years, and you know I would've told you, but they said I couldn't, and I couldn't get you security clearance. That's why I had to stick with the occasional e-mail to keep in touch," Bailey said, looking back at Spencer. "It's alright, I understood then and I understand now, point is, we're working together now," Spencer said, smiling at Bailey. "You're still my subordinate, remember that," Bailey said jokingly. "Yes sir," Spencer joked back to Bailey. Spencer heard two clicks on his radio and then Dr. Rite's voice. "Sir, we've found a jumper bay above the gate room, just like Atlantis, you may wanta come see it, Colonel Bailey as well. There's a transporter to the left, coming down the staircase in the gate room, it's a transporter. Press the center dot, from there, it's a single hall, follow it and meet Captain Flag at the door." "Alright, I'll be there in a sec," Spencer hooked his radio onto his vest and looked up at Bailey, "what's a jumper?" Spencer and Bailey made there way down the stairs to the jumper bay in the outpost. They had come to a dual bulk head. Bailey and Spencer headed into the small closet sized transporter. Bailey leaned over to touch a screen panel with a picture of the facility, covered by several dots, Bailey pressed the center one. The two then opened the door, and to Spencer's astonishment, they were in a different area of the city. "Captain," Bailey said, meeting Kate by the bulkhead door to where Spencer assumed to be the Jumper Bay. All three of them entered the door and met up with the rest of SG's 3, 5, James, Breaux, Raichell, and Rite. Rite started to tell Spencer about the Puddle Jumper in great detail.
When Spencer walked closer to one of the jumpers, white, neon lights illuminated, surrounding each landed Jumper. It was a large room with Jumpers placed behind one another, Spencer counted a total of 14. "There's more where those came from sir, there's more on the base of the cities main tower, that's what I've been able to gather from translating a bit of text on some terminals on the walls," Dr. Rite said, walking up to Spencer. "Cool..." Spencer said absent minded as he stared at the jumpers. "And these go through the Stargate?" "Yes, they're actually made for that," Rite replied. "So, can we fly these around?" Kate said to Rite. "We could, but none of us have the ATA, or Ancient gene as far as I know. I'm pretty sure the Ancients would keep the GENE system for their technology just in case," Rite replied. The three teams made their way down to the Control Room that overlooked the entire gate room. Spencer saw a Lantean Terminal, with what appeared to be 39 buttons with constellations on them, like a DHD. It looked like the Lantean DHD. Spencer took a closer look at the Lantean DHD with Raichell. "It's like the Atlantis DHD," Raichell said to Spencer, "but it has different constellations on it." Raichell took another look at the DHD again. Spencer leaned over the DHD terminal and pressed a few of the buttons, watching the spin around on the Stargate's inner-ring. Spencer whistled, watching the second chevron lock on the gate, "very nice." Suddenly, the Stargate started to dial, each glyph on the ring lighting up one by one, in a clockwise motion, "We've got an incoming wormhole!" yelled one of the marines from the bottom of the steps near the gate. The unstable burst of energy flew from the gate, and flattened into the wavy, blue event horizon. Raichell slapped the shield button by the glyph buttons after looking at the open gate. A blue shield covered the event horizon. "It must be the Anti Ancients! Can they get through that shield?" Spencer asked Raichell. "I honestly don't know, the shield on Atlantis and the iris on Earth prevent anything from rematerializing during an incoming wormhole, but the Anti Ancients mist form was able to fly through walls, so there's no way to know for sure," Raichell replied. "Everyone down by the gate, ready all energy based weapons!" Yelled Captain Flag, walking down the stairs. Spencer and Raichell followed them and posted themselves behind the ground lights lining the walkway to the gate. Raichell drew her Zat and Spencer, his Wraith Stunner. Shortly after readying themselves by the gate, several large, bright lights flying off the event horizon with several loud crashing noises. After almost five minutes of the bombardment against the shield, the Stargate closed. Raichell ran up the staircase to the control room to mind the DHD. Spencer looked at the Stargate and wiped a few beads of sweat of his forehead. He had seen Sven and his buddy Lash in action, he didn't care to get into another fire fight with an enemy like that. "I'm guessing that was our new friends right?" Rite asked, lifting himself off the floor. "Sir, we're about to run out of power in the gate room," Raichell yelled from the control room. "Okay, we need to find the power source for here and activate it," Spencer called over the gate and control room, "we don't know how long that shield will hold up from here." "Sir, this place is like the planet we just came from, Eshtiss, and Atlantis. Systems begin to activate after sensing life signs I'm guessing. We've activated an energy tracer from here, we should be able to find the main power source with the back up power we have left in here," she said, turning to a terminal fixed into the wall, with several Lantean keyboards under them, "there's gotta be at least one ZPM or more there, we can send a few marines down to check it out," she said, pointing to a terminal displaying the outpost's center tower.

-Ignore Rodney McKay, he's just there to display our new terminals we installed in the back of the control room, in between the right bulkhead to the sky box, and the staircase-
"Sounds good, let's do this," Spencer replied. After several hours of trying to find the supposed ZPM room, three members of SG-3 and Dr. Rite found a bulk head, with a slight energy signature behind it. Luckily, the city had some power left in the back up supply so they could open the door just by waving their hand in front of a the three, blue crystal panel. The squad entered the room, and found one Zero Point Module, sticking out of it's socket.
"Sean, we found it," Rite said over his radio. "Nice work Rite, we've only got a few minutes of back up power left so hook it up so we can light this city," Spencer replied. Rite made his way over to the ZPM, pushed it into it's socket and walked to the terminal.
"Sir!" Captain Flag called after Spencer. "Yes Captain?" "We managed to integrate our one Naquadah generator into the back up power systems for this tower, but all the power sources were already almost fully charged, and we can set them up to where they'll activate as we spread through the city. It looks like the Ancients made the ZPM the main power source, and these other devices to minimize ZPM usage." "Good, have the Anti Ancients dialed in again?" "No, I think they know about the shield now, I don't think they'll be coming through that gate. They must really want that weapon badly." "Well this place was built after Atlantis, and the Ancients made it their main outpost, so it makes sense that it would either have the weapon itself, or know where to find it," Spencer said back "And we've been able to confirm that these gates do have 36 glyphs like the Pegasus Stargates, plus gate has the aesthetic appearance of the same system, except the constellations are different, but we also found the Star Map and Gate Address Database, so we can get past that as well. I'll also see what I can do about getting a diagram or overlay of the gate. We also managed to find Earth's address and we're about to dial up the SGC and report what's happened the 11 hours we've been out of contact. Oh, before I forget, the DHD has the same custom crystal inside it, the same as Atlantis's, but we think they're in every DHD in this galaxy, there wasn't exactly anything to hide here, as far as we know." Spencer smiled at the Captain. "Well, we're alive, and apparently, the Anti Ancients haven't found the weapon yet, speaking of which, is there anything in the database that even mentions it?" "Nothing yet," Kate said, looking down a clipboard she had just pulled up from her side, "but it's an incredibly large system, who knows what we could find in it." "Got it. You know, I think the SGC is gonna wanta hear about this from me and Colonel Bailey as well, so I think I should head to the gate room with you." "Yes sir. You know, I just can't help but wonder what the SGC will do after hearing all this, Sven's a very dangerous human being, and he wants us all dead to top it all off," Kate said to Spencer. "All I know is, we can't beat these guys alone. So, let's go dial home," Spencer said before they left to the gate room with Capitan Kate Flag to contact Earth. -------------------------------------------------- Writing:Cameron Mitchell Brainstorm:Cameron Mitchell and Prometheus Artwork, Landscape, and Photography:Stargate Worlds, John Sheppard, and public sites
