| OK, here's the deal. Filefront's sent me the following message. - Filefront wrote:
- Dear FileFront User:
We regret to inform you that due to the current economic conditions we are forced to indefinitely suspend the FileFront site operations on March 30, 2009. If you have uploaded files, images or posted blogs, or if you would like to download some of your favorite files, please take this opportunity to download them before March 30th when the site will be suspended.
We would like to give a warm thank you to all of you who have been part of the FileFront communities we have built together. Your support has had a meaningful impact for all of us here at FileFront. Again, we want to give you a sincere “thank you” for your support over the years and wish you all the very best.
Keep gaming alive,
FileFront Management and Team.

I'm thinking this is fake, given how close it is to April 1, THAT, and that they only gave us about five or six days to clean house of our files. I'm going to use SourceForge.net from now on, because this is the straw that has not just broken the camel's back, but snapped it into tiny pieces, pulled each section apart, vertebrae by vertebrae, and chewed on the small nerves inside it. It even took a few ribs with it. If this works, I suggest that everyone uses it to upload their works. It's been convenient for me in the past, and it seems that everything's worked out well so far. That, and Filefront's always been a bit... well, kinda crappy. So, I'll keep you all updated on this, but, because of this bull, I will be uploading my work onto sourceforge.net instead of filefront. I'll work on that now, but it may take a while. Meaning, for a few days, you may be left with just megaupload.com, which is crappier than filefront, to dl my work. But I'll get on it as fast as I can. | |

| I myself am part of several large gaming communities that have Filefront Network Sites. Over the last few days we have been using automated download programs to get ALL the content backed-up for a new filesite in the near future. I got to Download all the content from Sins of a Solar Empire - but had to do it manually So it's unfortunate, but all the staff have been layed off so if it is an April Fools then they have just pissed off a LOT of people that it has involved. | |

| Indeed. I know I'm not going back to them if this is a joke. Tell me if you find something good Rodney because, apparently, sourceforge is crap for our kind of uploads (writing that is), but it may work for your mod stuff and video game community stuff. Good luck cleaning house of your files, man! | |
